The Night I Almost Missed
and Other Stories About the Birth of Christ

If the cow in the stable at Bethlehem could talk, what would she say about the birth of Jesus? What would the donkey think as he carried Mary on his back into Bethlehem? How about the star in the sky that guided the Wise Men, or the battered old manger that thought it would never be useful again? Then there is the young shepherd boy who almost missed the whole thing!

You and your children are in for a delightful treat as you read these stories of the first Christmas from fresh perspectives. You will also hear from Mary, Joseph, one of the Wise Men, the innkeeper, a guest at the inn, and even Dr. Luke himself, whose own account of these events is recorded in Chapter Two of the New Testament Gospel that bears his name. Each of these wonderful monologues is infused with the joy, the wonder, and the awe of that night of nights---the night Jesus the Savior was born!
